Details of our framing:
We place great value on quality, and want you to have unspoilt pleasure with your picture for a long time. We therefore mount each print onto a
hard fibre base with a special hot adhesive foil before we actually frame it. In this way we prevent the print from wrinkling due to atmospheric moisture.
We continue with the type of picture design you choose
- Modern and good value for money: sealing the print surface
- Classical, precious, timeless: protect the picture with acrylic glass
- Individually designed: with mat and protection through acrylic glass
1 .Sealing the surface of the print
The picture is covered with a matt sealing film in a hot vacuum press to protect its surface. This lends the colors depth, and the surfaces can be
cleaned with a damp cloth without any problem. The framed picture is light and crack-proof.
2. Protecting the picture with acrylic glass
The picture is protected in a classic way with a sheet of acrylic glass. We use the specially developed glass brand PLEXIGLAS Gallery®, which
not only has all the advantages of normal glass but is also break-proof. The colors of the picture begin to shine and the integrated UV filter permanently
protects them from fading.
3. Mat and protection through acrylic glass
For your picture a 0,6'' thick, acid-free mat is tailor-made - with the typical charming slanting edges. It frames the print in approximately 3,15'' width
and enhances the color harmony between the frame and picture. The unobtrusive surrounding makes the picture stand out against its background, and its
depth focuses attention on the picture itself. As in variant 2, our special acrylic glass protects the print and mat.
For technical reasons we have to adapt the mat to the sheet format. This means that if your print already has a colored or white margin, the mat
will be adapted to suit this. For pictures without a margin we choose the mat to directly suit the picture. In both cases the passe-partout covers
about 4mm of the print around the edges.

Now the picture is ready for framing. Here are a few tips to make it easier for you to choose the ideal frame for your work of art:
What effect do the materials aluminium and wood have?
Our aluminium frames with a high-gloss or structured metallic finish or with a matt satin look are particularly suitable for framing modern works of art
and reproductions of photographic motifs. They elegantly and subtly enhance the character of the picture.
Wooden frames are ideal for all classical motifs. The independent, elegant character of the surfaces combines with the picture to produce a complete work
of art. The colors of the surfaces are more delicate than aluminium and they therefore produce a soft and warm effect.
What border width is suitable for my picture?
Naturally the following rule of thumb applies: small format = narrow border, large format = wide border. But how do you define what is small
and what is large? If in doubt, it is better to choose a slightly wider frame border, because this is the only way to guarantee that the frame achieves the
desired effect. A frame makes the picture stand out against its background, and ensures that the picture catches people's eyes.
What color achieves the best effect?
We advise you to choose a color that dominates in the picture itself. This allows the work of art and the frame to merge into one harmonious entity. But
of course an exciting alternative is to consciously achieve a special effect by choosing a different color for the frame.
The frames are always specially produced to order and are made by real experts. Our customer service will be only too glad to give you personal advice.
If you require another profile or an unusual color, we would be pleased to make you an individual offer.
Please note: Dear customers, please only make use of your right to return the framed pictures in "emergency cases", since our frames are custom-built products.
